Amazon.com Product Description Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offers a snowboard-like carving ability. The RipStik "G" features a spinning aircraft-grade aluminum "G" tube in the center for extreme grinding action. Like the original Ripstik, the "G" moves you forward with a simple weight transfer that lets you turn or accelerate without pushing--just like when you're carving down the slopes.
The aircraft-grade aluminum tube in the center is ready for extreme grinding. | The board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds. Key Features: - Inclined caster trucks
- Concave deck platforms
- Traction plates
- Kick nose
- Kick tail
- Rubber-padded handle
- Torsion bar
- 76-millimeter polyurethane wheels
- High-performance ABEC-5 bearings
- For ages 8 years and older

Great For Skateboard Fanatics! January 2, 2009 Julie Loritz (De Pere, WI) I purchased the Ripstick G for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He has been using it nonstop. He is still working on being able to grind and has learned all kinds of tricks on it already. The price was by far the best I saw anywhere in town or online.
This is a pretty neat board. December 27, 2008 Brandon Jones 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The board came quickly and was a better deal than I found almost anywhere else. My son got it for Christmas and didn't take long to learn how to ride it. He loves it.
Fun toy December 26, 2008 Anthony Veilleux (Littleton, MA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've never been one for skateboarding, to casterboarding was something new to me. You never have to step off the board to accelerate (deceleration is another matter), and turning is as simple as leaning your body the right way. Going uphill is hard, but not impossible. The bearings tend to get sticky in mud and dirt, but that's expected. The board has issues going over large cracks in the sidewalk - the front wheel tends to drop into them, and not come back out (ie, the board stops short at the crack).
Great board October 16, 2008 J. Perryman (TN) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is a great buy for anybody. I saw my friend riding a wave board and he let me try it when I inquired what it was. It was a lot of fun and very addicting. He told me that if i bought one to get it because the waveboard was better that the ripstik because it had a smoother ride and it was better built. I went to Walmart and was looking at the wave boards and I saw the ripstick G. It looked a lot cooler so I bought it. To tell you the truth, this is the coolest board out there. I love this board and ride it everyday. The only reason to buy this over a ripstick is if you are going to "grind", which is going on a rail. It is also better built and has a smoother ride than most other boards. If your going to buy it, buy it on Amazon. It's cheaper than anywhere else and it also gets you free shipping.
Love it!!! September 20, 2008 charlie horse (Texas) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My son loves this board! He is 9 years old and it took him a couple of days to get the hang of it, but with the help of the video that comes along with it, he has really gotten good on it. I would highly recommend this product. It is worth the extra money for the quality of this product.
