AWESOME JEANS! February 24, 2010 Pointnino (Tulsa, OK) I bought these jeans at Macy's with a gift card I received for Christmas from a family member. I've had these jeans for well over two years, and today I bought the EXACT same pair off Amazon because they're almost ready to be replaced. Starting a small hole in a "bad spot". Never a single problem with them before now, and have been my favorite pair for a long time. I've washed/dried them EVERY TIME I wore them too, so they took a substantial beating over the years. No worries with this selection if you're a new buyer. They are loose in the legs, but not baggy, which was the look I was going for. 100% comfortable, durable, and look great with pretty much anything. Easy 5-stars from me.
great jeans in a hard-to-find size January 21, 2010 J. Blaine (Peninsula, OH USA) I bought these jeans for my nephew for Christmas. The quality and fit are perfect, but the best thing is that I was able to find his size only on Amazon. He is quite tall, and I could not find a single 36 inseam at any store except Amazon. The price was right and the shipping (at that time) was free. What's not to like?
Crappy Product January 11, 2010 J. Brockelbank (NYC) My husband purchased these jeans in August. He had to throw them out today, because they have a hole in the crotch that is HUGE, making them unwearable. Seriously-jeans should last more than 4 months. It isn't like he wore them everyday for 4 months, he has other pairs.
Levis Jeans May 19, 2009 John-mike S. Rujimora (Miami,Fl) I purchased these jeans online, never really bought jeans online. I knew my sizes and when it came it was a perfect fit. Shipping didnt take long. I got what I order. Can not complain about it.
Levi's has seriously lost it's mind. Cheap, thin, scratchy, ill fitting jeans. Nothing like my old pair made in the USA. December 22, 2008 Clay Butler 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Original Review:
I actually own two old pairs of the 569 Levi's that were made in the USA. Nice thick fabric, strong rivets, tight stitching, generous cut...all that one would expect from Levi. These new ones from Essential Apparel however are made in Mexico and Levi has skimped on everything. The fabric is much thinner and scratchy. The rivets are weaker. The stitching is loose and sloppy. The cut is skimpy. Even the lining on the pockets is cheaper and thinner. Sending these right back. They are so bad you'd think these were cheap knock-offs. Very disappointed. If you love your old pair of Levi's don't buy these.
Update:
After much research and ultimately ending up at a Levi's outlet I discovered that this new thin scratchy material is their "fashion" material. It's intentional on their part. The sales staff said they no longer use the traditional Levi's jean fabric for the 569 line. They do however still make the 560's the old way. These are very close to the 569's in cut and looseness in the seat. So I bought two pairs of those at the outlet. Upon reflection (or is it resignation) I decided to just keep the "fashion" 569's and just get used to them because after my Amazon Card discounts I only paid about $17 a pair. I figured I could always use some lighter weight sacrificial jeans. Still think it's misguided to think someone who likes loose fitting jeans wants crappy "fashion" fabric.
