The board itself is lasting pretty long still usign trucks and bearing but the wheels are not recommended if you are going to be sliding at all, i wore them down straight to the plastic inner wheel in about a week or two. but all together the board is good for cruising not the best for tight carves cuz of the wheel bite but its a great first board to learn on.

The Kicktail longboard was delivered fairly fast, however the package looked like it went through hell first. Upon opening the box, the only thing protecting the board was a plastic bag. Sadly, because of the way it was packaged and the box treated, there were some noticeable nicks and even scrapes on the grip tape. The decal feels and looks cheap, so dont expect anything you want your friends to get a close up look at. I also had to tighten the trucks quite a bit since whoever put it together only tightened it just enough so that the damn thing wouldnt fall off. If you purchase this board, make sure you have the tools necessary to tighten the trucks. The wheels were green instead of the color shown in the picture.
Now, despite the delivery of the board and the decals... the board is fun to ride. It feels sturdy and has a unique shape compared to other longboards. My recommendation is that if you can spend a little bit more, then get a better quality longboard. Surf One has some good deals on here for not much more. Their boards are much higher quality and visually pleasing in all aspects. If you cant go above $75, this board will do...as long as you dont have high expectations. This board will get you from point A to point B with some fun, and might require a bit of modification in both stability and looks.
You get what you pay for.

We gave it to my son for Christmas. It rained for three straight days. Then the board was stolen off of our front porch. Can't say if it's any fun to ride, but it sure looked attractive to all concerned!

First I want to mention that this is my first longboard. I only briefly stepped on a friends longboard before getting this one, so I can't comment on how it compares to others. But I can say that I am very happy with this item! The board is decent and has nice griptape. The board isn't just a cheap piece of wood like some others I had seen. The edges are all rounded and the spot by the wheels has a small indent for your turns. The shape of the board is good looking and the graphic is of good quality. The graphic features a stylized wave and there is a surfer on top. Not to my taste but the image is decent. The trucks are usable for a beginner I think although they seem generic and I wonder about their longevity. They are metal though and I haven't had any problems with them falling apart etc. I was surprised to find that the wheels are much better then I expected! The inner part is a hard plastic and then the outer covering is a slightly softer rubber material that has some give. Riding the board is awesome and much more fun then I anticipated! It performs a little different than a traditional size skateboard. The turning is smoother and the ride in particular is awesome. Very smooth and stable feeling. You can roll over rocks and twigs and gravel etc much easier without as much worry about falling down like on a smaller board. Also this model features a kicktail so you can pop on ollie if you want. Performing an ollie felt a little weird to me at first due to the board size/weight. The bearings are mediocre but this is an easy fix at your local shop and the ones on the board will get you rolling until you can upgrade. Also I personally will upgrade the trucks at some point. Otherwise great product. The shipping for me was amazing I had this at my house in two days!!! I suppose your ship time may vary depending on where you live.... I'm glad I ordered this board it has been a lot of fun. I may never ride a regular board again....
